Application: Communication Management System
Overview:
The purpose of the communication management system is to enable communication managers to send the right information to the right employees at the right time. Examples of such communication might be an announcement such as:
· An employee promotion
· An employee sale
· Company Picnic
Such announcements are typically sent via email to all of the employees at the company. The problem is that employees are often bombarded by so much mass communication they many of them often do not pay attention to the content of such emails. The communication management system will enable a more focused approach to dispersing information at an organization.
The application is part of a larger Intranet application similar to Intranets.com. The application consists of several separate components.
The communications themselves will be built by “Communication Managers?? who may consist of: an administrative assistant, Human Resources Representative, the CEO, etc. The format and delivery method of the communication will be a choice made by the person sending the communication (the communication manager).
Users will also be able to create and send poll (questionnaires) utilizing the same environment. Here are some poll example to give an idea of what is needed: <[login to view URL]>
