I have a background as System admin and DBA, focusing almost exclusively on MySQL in the last 4 years, building highly scalable environments where performance and high availability are the main focus. I am always ready to get into new exciting challenges. I have experience with distributed and quite big databases: currently I am also working with a customer with a complex topology of database servers spread across multiple regions: in each region the main database is sharded in multiple servers, where each server stores around 7TB of data. Expert in MySQL tuning and optimization: they are a must when it come to heavy loaded databases! Obviously optimizing writes can be achieved in multiple ways, depending from the specific business requirements and architecture. Nonetheless I have also experience with memcached and redis, and NDB Cluster. Although my main area of expertise if MySQL , I recognize that for some specific workload a RDBMS is not the best fit, and a NoSQL DB is a better match. Furthermore, I want also to include NDB Cluster in the list of NoSQL DBs: at the storage engine level NDB is a key/value engine, that can be accessed via an SQL interface (through mysqld) or directly via NDBAPI or memcached interface.

Hello, I worked od RDBS databases containing more than 600 interconnected tables, normalized to third normal form. If you need my help with it, im going to need database definition and or sample data to achieve what you need ( if i cant have access to production environment) as well as info which database do you use (MySQL, MSSQL or PostgreSQL).
