Create new Provisioning Profile for iOS game in dev testing

I developed an idea for an iOS game and paid a programming firm to do the coding for me. We ended up getting very close but not finishing it and we stopped working together.
I need to start work again, but the provisioning profile for the application has expired. I do not understand enough how exactly that works and how to get that fixed.
I will need someone to create a new provisioning profile and "sign" or whatever it is the app so I can distribute the IPA to test again.
Also, we use [login to view URL] to distribute the app. Not sure if the provisioning profile comes from there or my Apple account.
