Poltical Party App (Android & iOS)

Platform: Android & iOS, possibly even Windows Phone. Language: Swedish Free, no ads. A Swedish political party has decided to have an app created for the upcoming election in Sep '14. The purpose of the app is to spread information on our standpoints and opinions plus the possibility for local politicians to have the info close when they receive a question they don’t know the answer to. Our first thoughts on how it could work: On the first page we would have five buttons: (1) Nationwide, (2) Regional, (3) Search, (4) More/misc./other and (5) Become a member. (1): This button displays a list of all our standpoints. The info is to be installed locally but when the app is opened, if there is an Internet connection available, it checks online if any of the information has been changed or updated and if so download the new version. However if no Internet connection is available the “old” info should be available so the app can be used in “offline” mode. Specific words should be able to click to jump between pages and some words should be able to “long-press” to view a pop-up with a short explanation. All info should be fetched from an online database of some sort which is easy for us to edit when we want to add or change something. Sharing to social networks should be possible. (2): When pressing the button “regional” the built-in GPS, if available and turned on, should suggest the nearest region/city where the political party is represented. Otherwise a list is presented where the user can select region and then a submenu with the city. Information will then be presented about the local political party. A link to their local homepageand sharing to social networks should be available. (3): When pressing this button you will see a search field and the keyboard is displayed and the user can then search within the app. The search function should be “intelligent” with tags. For example, when typing the word “Movie” you should be able to find the article about “File sharing”. A list of some sort will display the found results and the user can choose which article to read. The search function should also be able to find material found in section (4) “More/misc./other”. A magnifying glass-icon should be available in the app all the time with the possibility to search for specific word or articles. (4): When pressing this button the user should be displayed a list with all other material that is available. None of this material is probably available offline and is fetched online. The contents in this section should be easy for us to administrate, add, remove or change. So far we have been talking about the following material to be found in this section: • News, press releases • Backgrounds, Ringtones etc. • Info about the youth section of the political party • Download campain material, PDF-files etc. • Polls (For us to ask the app-users questions) • You-tube, links etc. • Links We would also like the possibility to “shoot” out material to the app so that the user with the app installed will get an notification and when he opens up the app the information will be displayed and will be later be made available in this misc.-section (4). (5): When pressing this button the user will get some information about becoming a member and then to possibility to “Continue” or “Cancel”. When choosing to continue four choices are made available (if this is technically possible): [login to view URL] app payment by credit card, [login to view URL] the phone bill, [login to view URL] a specific phone-number or by 4.PayPal. When choosing the user has to input his personal details and is then forwarded to chosen way to pay. The attached pictures are only ideas but could maybe give you a hint about what we are lookling for.
