Implementing algorithm for file assignment on RAID-0 architecture.
No. of disks = 2
No. of files= 20
(1) We will sort the files according to their size first.
(2) On RAID-0 architecture each disk have blocks. Suppose the 10th file of the sorted list has a size of 500 MB.
(3) We now assign the size of each block as 500 MB so that all the first ten files can be assigned to one block each.
(4) We take the first 10 files and assign it to the two disks in the round robin way.
(5) The files 11 to 20 are larger than 500 MB. So we divide each of the files into chunks and assign the chunks of each file to the blocks of the two disks.
