Length of the rectangle = 20 * 5cm = 100 cm Width of the rectangle = 5 cm. Area of rectangle = 100 * 5 cm^2 = 500 cm^2. I can provide detailed steps if I'm given the project. Thanks.

I have done bachelor of Engineering from NIT Raipur, India. I am master in mathematics. Solution goes like this:- Sara has some identical square tiles, area of tile is 5cmx5cm ...means each tile is of 5cmx5cm = 25 square cm, Sara makes rectangle laying out five rows of tiles. ..means breath of rectangle = 5 tile, there are twenty tiles in each row. ...means length of rectangle = 20 tile, so total tiles in rectangle = 5 x 20 = 100 rectangles. Total area = (Number of tiles) x (Area of a title) = (100) x (25) = 2500 square cm.

I guess this is one of the basic question of Mathematics. One needs to just compute the area of the rectangle after computing its length and breadth. (length*breadth). I will be glad to help you on this.
