As you will see from the link, the above organization states that they provide grants for well-written business plans. We could write it ourselves but we are extremely busy. We would rather add to someone else's insight(s). You need to be good a financial forecasting, specific with how to acquire customers, figure out costs and timelines for implementation, creating a budget, etc, etc. A lot of what is required is in the documents attached. We are looking into getting the full maximum amount of $100,000 which we believe the bulk of would be for equipment and marketing.
We are just in the concept stage as this is a Startup. There are many ways and countless programs to lose weight (whether they are effective or not is another story). Basically, we wish to take on an FDA (US) and Health Canada approved device through http://www.yolomedical.com. The "Yolo Curve" machine is $51,000. Though they have other products, we would like to look into getting a vibration platform and a tread mill machine (from cheaper sources) which are used after a Yolo treatment.
Getting location can be expensive which is why we are seriously considering going mobile, meaning that we drive to clients homes to do treatment. That would mean having a vehicle that would be big enough to drive around in and comfortable enough for clients to either come into the vehicle for treatment or we go into their home; luckily the Yolo machine is not the big nor heavy, but the treadmill and/or vibration platform would be... these other pieces of equipment are necessary as the Yolo is more effective when a client exercises after the treatment.
We are looking forward to your ideas, suggestions, sample business and marketing plans you have made from the past (you can block out private info to not reveal the party you worked with of course). It would be helpful if you know are experienced with the weight loss industry but it is not necessary for apply to this position. Also, please tell us why we should choose you over other freelancers?
We need to make a business and marketing plan regardless of whether we get the grant or not. If we do, we do not mind sharing some funds as a bonus if you have a dynamite plan.
