CentOS 7 64 bit server with Apache 2.4 and CPanel has one Perl script called many times per second, causing high load to the server. We would like to use mod_perl, FastCGI, or some other method to avoid calling the Perl interpreter each time the script runs, to improve run time, and reduce load.
