We have been developing an online portal over the last few years and we now need to take the lessons we have learnt and create a new version of the site from scratch, taking into account the very latest techniques and incorporating new technologies and features. This is a big project and the finished application will not only need to take our site a big step forwards but it should also be able to move our current users over seamlessly. Bidders should be able to offer excellent skills in Microsoft SQL2008 and above, have the ability to make use of the best that open source tools such as JQuery, etc. have to offer and be able to employ the latest ASP.NET technologies. Time is of the essence and we need to get this new version live for a new set of users by October 2012 with the target of moving our current users over by February 2013. Budget has already been allocated to this project and the successful bidder must be willing to deliver a core element of the system to our satisfaction before being paid. However, we will agree the delivery for this and aim to have a timescale no longer than one month for delivery. All code must be fully documented. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi - Myself and my team of 2 developers have great experience in just this area; specifically building, or rebuilding web applications from the ground up using the latest .Net technologies, SQL Server and leveraging open source projects - jQuery, Ninject, Elmah, T4, SignalR, Dapper, Subsonic, Twitter bootstrap, Castle Windsor - to name but a few we've used recently. We have in depth knowledge of ASP .NET, Javascript, SQL and HTML5 and could deliver this project quickly and efficiently by using the Agile technique for sofware delivery . Together we have recently built web applications for the construction business, for bug tracking, for time management - links can be supplied on request. Without knowing exact requirements it's hard to make a call on architecture but I would envisage an ASP .NET MVC3 application using Entity Framework (or similar), SQL Server 2008 R2 back-end and Bootstrap Toolkit for UI.
