The project objective is to develop speedometer, RPM and CO2/g meter in HTML5 which displays all the following rates for a running vehicle and also include the sound of Starting the Engine when the key 's' is press and when spacebar is pressed, the acceleration sound also comes in.
System overview: A car when moving will burn fuel and result in carbon emission from the exhaust. This emission will correspond to the amount of fuel burnt and the rate of revolution of the engine. Currently, drivers do not have any information on the amount of carbon that is emitted as a result of their revving, nor the total amount of CO2 generated throughout the car’s mileage covered. A carbon-o-meter will display the CO2 emission and also the total accumulated emission generated. This raises awareness towards the environmental impact caused by driving and consciousness for the driver. This awareness and consciousness will encourage the driver to plan his route more efficiently and also keeps the vehicle in better condition and efficiency.
Project Scope:To develop a GUI based Speedometer, RPM and Carbon-o-meter and a counter to display the real-time Speed, RPM, CO2 emission and cumulative CO2 emission.
Feature of Carbon-o-meter: A speedometer-alike carbon-o-meter that is capable of the following :
• Display real-time co2 emission
• Display cumulative co2 emission
• Able to simulate the depressing of accelerator pedal by depressing the space bar
• When the emission is low and within a threshold, will lit up a green leaf symbol
• When emission is high and above a threshold, will lit up a red warning symbol
Deliverable:
The deliverables include :
a) A integrated graphical user interface that resembles a carbon-o-meter and a co2 cumulative meter
b) A set of flow diagrams of how the program works
c) A report documenting all the features and specifications
Oops think I misread. Is that the bid per hour?
Hi there, I'm perfect for this. See my profile pic that's the VW Beetle I'm restoring. Used to be a professional mechanic that did coding and such on the side. Now I just do coding. Good with both languages mentioned. I know cars backwards and forwards. Sign me up.
Thanks
