Edit static text in existing JRXML report, then fix compile errors and compile to JASPER format

Edit an existing report in JRXML format, then compile to JASPER format so it's ready for reporting use in our program. I have a report in JRXML format. Two kinds of edits need to be made. First, some static text needs to be changed. Second, when I try to compile the JRXML to JASPER using Jaspersoft or iReport, there are some errors like this: "[login to view URL] cannot be resolved to a type" Please edit the static text, then compile the JRXML file to JASPER file so I can use it as report in my program.
