Hello,
I need a rather simple java program, that creates/retrieves file-versions and their labels via WebDAV. The project should be done using the Apache Jackrabbit client libraries.
Preparation:
Download Apache Sling ([login to view URL]), start it locally and upload some files via webdav (to http://localhost:8080/dav/ ; user admin:admin). That is all preparation needed.
Task:
Your program should now create versions of these uploaded files via WebDAV (you can hard-code the filenames for simplicity), add labels/names to the versions, then retrieve the added labels/names of the versions and download a distinct version of one the files. In short terms: The very basic versioning operations (creating, naming/labeling, retriving of information/data).
Warning:
For somebody familiar with WebDAV and/or Jackrabbit this is a very simple task, for somebody unfamiliar with the technologies this is a rather big problem. Please do only bid when you see a good chance that you can achieve this, so that we both save our time.
Regards,
J.
I downloaded sling and played with the framework. It's quite interesting. I also read through jackrabbit documentation and webdav api. I think I can do this task within 3 days, at most 5 days.
