Website Analysis/Refurb Project?

I have an old website that I am thinking of re-doing ([login to view URL]) It was pulling in some money in it's first few years, but got hit pretty hard after panda/penguin. Originally i had built and hosted the site myself on Wordpress, created all unique content and articles and did manual SEO. At it's peak I was holding position 3-5 on Google and similar on the other engines. My circumstances changed and was not able to give the site my attention, so have had it on a re-direct to an affiliate company for the past 4 years or so. It gets the odd booking occasionally but nothing much. Currently nowhere to be found on Google, but still 3/4 way down the 2nd page of Yahoo and Bing. The way the engines now structure their searches with ads/pages etc breaking up the "natural" rankings, I am wondering if it is possible to even go up against the "big boys" these days as it seems that unless you have deep adsense pockets then perhaps you might have a bit of trouble ranking at all or at least getting seen? I would like an analysis of my site and a reason to either build it again and try and rank organically, or if it isn't worth the effort then I will scrap the idea. I would rather pay for a good analysis even if it means scrapping the project than to spend alot of money building a site with no traffic! The successful candidate should be able to deliver first page rankings through current relevant SEO methods, and keep visitors bounce rates reasonably low, and obviously achieve some sales! There will be ongoing work with the SEO, so will be looking to build a good relationship long term too. If you can demonstrate results with past similar projects please get in touch.
