The envisaged website provides event details to the consumer. It covers events locally, nationally and internationally. It provides a means of promotion for event promoters, performance artists, venues, ticket and outlets. It provides two levels of membership. The first level is for the consumer, is free, which details the entertainment interests of the consumer, so that they may receive customised notifications of events of their interest or in their locality. The website includes a search capability for consumers to search for events of a specified category in a particular locality. The website covers music, theatre, film, sporting and community events (political or non-political). The website aggregates Facebook events and combines that information with events registered directly through the website to create a searchable database. The website incorporates a ticket sales facility to designated events, so that consumers may search for events, or be notified of events, and then purchase tickets to those events, where appropriate. The second level of membership is paid for, and includes the facility for events to be promoted directly to consumers via the website, who have, as a part of free membership, registered an interest in that genre of entertainment, or to consumers in a particular locality. Consumers decide, upon registering free membership, which categories of events they will be notified about. Consumers are to be notified by the website either through email, sms, or directly to a smart phone application, to be developed in conjunction with the website.
