ajax html irc chat client custom made

Hi I have a irc server, it uses diffrent commands than standard irc servers it did have a java applet but because the software is no longer supported the applet has warnings to the users. I would like making a IRC web client that can run from the web server that comes with the server sofware to replace the current one. if this project would take time or if placing high bids then I would request this project to be done in stages. I would like to not give up on fixing this but if price is too high then I will. I do not mind if it is made using a open sorceirc client as long as it can be customised to work on my server. If built from scratch I can describe what I would like and brake it down into stages happy bidding! P.S I DO NOT WANT JAVA APPLET OR FLASH
