Develop a Corporate Identity for headhunting firm

Corporate Identity and branding for a London based headhunting company specialising in financial recruitment. Given the high calibre of clientele and top end of the market, I am looking for something that makes the company appear well-established, trustworthy and authoritative. Think along the lines of leading financial institutions; banks, investment funds, pension providers and insurers. With this in mind I am thinking a Serif based font would be the obvious option, liking the fact that it originated in the Latin alphabet with inscriptional lettering, words carved into stone in Roman antiquity. Perhaps something similar to New Times Roman, albeit more unique. Colour-wise the branding should be mainly monochrome, but selectively using different shades/hues of purple (see attachment 'colour scheme'). I think it is very important to create an emblem that can be recognised as well as the name. For this it either needs to combine the company initial 'C' & 'M' like the attached 'Chobham [login to view URL]' or 'Fortune [login to view URL]' ...or alternatively something more imaginative (see Patek Phillipe or Corum logos).
