I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the lauguage is c++ under linux os. So, programming in c++ is never a problem. I used c++ to make many great projects, for example, I made the tools which can convert java files to c++ with the same meaning, of course garbage collection included. I have 5 years experience in C/C++ programming. I can handle this project. I'm going to use QT framework for front-end display and pure C/C++ for back-end chess game and AI. Since the QT and the C/C++ itself is platform independent, the code will be easily ported between popular platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac). The code is native C/C++ so I believe is fast enough to do the task. Thank you very much!

I have previously implemented chess in Java so it shouldn't be difficult to port it over to C. I would be happy to work with you on the design and ensure I understand what you are looking for. As for AI, it wouldn't be hard as many algorithms exist out there. Are you looking for different levels of AI or just a basic one. I'm not sure what you mean with the artificial time for the AI. Just a question, is the requirement of C a strict one. Chess would be much cleaner in C++ with classes and object-oriented programming. It is not necessary, but it would work a lot better that way. I am open to your suggestions on this and we can take an iterative approach to make sure you get exactly what you want. Gerrett
