Hello, This sounds like the kind of project that is 'right up my street'... I've recently worked on a couple of very similar projects that were designed to be used with FileMaker Go on iPhone and iPad for data collection, and they both work very well. One was for the annual SIGB 'Ski Test' which happens in the Austrian alps, where about 200 testers from the industry, media etc rate about 600 pairs of next season skis. The scoring system is based on about 15 criteria which are rated 1-10. The FileMaker Go app allowed the testers to enter their results which were then synchronised back to a server where full reports could be generated. The second was for a gas works installations company in Australia, where their large installations of equipment in hospitals, shopping malls etc require equipment audits to be managed and the requirements and data entered. All of the data needed two-way synchronisation with a server so that all users had access to the most up to date data. One of the great features in the Filemaker GO (free) product that works on iPads and iPhones is the ability to seamlessly integrate pictures taking by the devices in the database. For example pictures of the field equipment (to assess condition) and pictures of the ID tag and metal description tag for model, serial number and other ID.
