Dear Ma'am,
I am a jewellery designer now based in London. I have a degree in design from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology , Delhi, where one of the projects I did was for CARE an NGO based in Gujarat. The project entailed helping rural women utilise their embroidery skills to make products that sold in urban markets. Since this project that you are doing is similar to what I have done, I find it rather interesting and I wish to apply for the same.
I have been designing jewellery for more than 5 years and feel there is a lot of potential in making textile jewellery. Although I am based in London , I believe that via digital methods we can carry out the design process virtually. This will enable the women to also become digitally savvy.
Once I know what kind of materials you have access to as well as the skills that the women have I can design a range of jewellery and send across all technical details for the crafts women to follow.
I do hope we can work together and carry out this project for the benefit of women in rural areas.
Kind Regards,
Deepti Kumar.
