i need someone to design and optimise a chemical plant - the chemical plant is supposed to produce drying oil (DO) and crude vinyl acetate (VA) from Acetylated Castor Oil (ACO). The process involves the use of ACO to produce DO, with byproduct Acetic Acid. This Acetic Acid is then reacted with ethylene and oxygen in the gas phase to produce VA. Assme operation time to be 8000 h/yr. The raw material specifications are as follows.
Acetylated Castor Oil: 298 K and 110 kPa.
Ethylene: 99.9 mol% pure (0.1 mol% Ethane) 298 K, 1000 kPa.
Oxygen: 100% pure, 298 K, 1000 kPa.
I am graduated in Chemical Engineering (Master's degree).
Some important results I obtained during my studies of engineering are:
- Process analysis of desalination plants supplied by photovoltaic solar systems and/or waste heat;
- Experimental study of fluid-dynamic regimes in fluidized bed reactors;
- Case study on the process engineering of a VCM production plant;
- Collaboration with a team for the design of equipment to extract and purify biomolecules from enzymes.
I have experience in process simulation software, in particular Hysys, Pro/II and ProMax.
