I need the code and a detailed report on the project (5 - 8 pages) Input is a grayscale image of any dimensions, and variable levels of compression must be possible. I want it tested on about 5 images. Output capacity and SNR must be plotted at the end of the report. I don't have a lot of money, so, I am expecting low bids on this...

Therefore, I target mainly on the JPEG compression standard and I can implement it on Matlab code. the major issue with DCT is it consumes a lot of time doing calculations which sometimes is quite annoying with some modification that i will apply to this technique time consumption will be greatly reduced.

Hi I can have the project finished in 1 or 2 days, depending on the level of detail you want in the report. The report can be delivered in either Microsoft Word format, or as a pdf. I propose to write the algorithm in MATLAB. If you are interested, I can also compile the MATLAB code into a C library.
