I have a cylindrical piece of equipment which weighs approximately 70,000lbs. I require a design of a skid to support it and distribute its weight along two 360" runners which will act as a base. Overall Length is 360" Overall Width is 90" Overall Height (with structure and piece of equipment) must not exceed 94.5" End Runners should be W14x90 sections. These should be the only members which make contact with the foundation. Equipment should be suspended between runners with bottom flange 3" above ground. Equipment must be able to be loaded in and out of the skid vertically. Design should use standard structural steel sections (W, S, C, HSS, etc) Final deliverable will be a SolidWorks assembly and an accompanying FEA report showing the design to be solid with appropriate safety factor.
