Part 2 is where the rep will capture a more detailed analysis of customers business. The system will then have to make rudimentary calculations. Part 3 is captured when a prospect is converted and again the data from 2 is used to assist in forecasting etc.

I have developed Excel spreadsheets to get a better understanding of what needs to be captured, calculated, extracted. This is currently being tested in a real world environment by one of my clients at whom this product is aimed at.
This is a screen print of the timesheet as is. The rep will perform their planning for the next day When he actually visits a customer the start time will be activated and at the end of the visit the end time. I then use all the data derived from this timesheet to calculate a number of reports
Currently this data is extracted and sent to the sales manager for inspection

Pg1 is the Prospect page for the CRM, but the existing customer will have a similar layout. In here we address certain questions, again with dropdowns where possible, that will help with the reporting
Pg. 2 is some calculations, while pg. 3 kicks in after prospect is converted. A hit rate is then calculated and certain products are advised. Here again dropdowns are available
Now you’ve seen some of my handiwork. All yellow cells are data cells that needs to be completed and everyone of them are used. I have deleted the unnecessary data which is nice to have and just kept the ones that can influence reporting and decision making. Orange cells are calculated cells.
I unfortunately hid some of the fields at this point in time. On pg. 1 there is about 48 fields to be completed, Pg. 2 +-25 and pg. 3 +-25. Pg. 2 & 3 are dependent on certain factors and thus must be able to expand, similar when you add a line to a document
This is actually my forte as I love to examine data and compile useful reports to assist in decision making
I see the app as a living document, growing with the customer and expanding as new fields are added or drop downs become available. I thus need the app to have the ability to be upgraded with regular intervals.
On the reporting side I will need a Master consolidated app.
