Hello!
This seems to be an interesting project for me and it'd be great to know a bit more details to see if I'll able to work on it or not. I should say that I'm not a game development "expert", but games are interesting for me and I always try to bid on game projects.
Previously I worked about 3.5 years for Goldhawk Interactive on a PC video game called Xenonauts (inspired by good-old X-COM: UFO Defense). It was done using Playground SDK (Playfirst), with C++ and Lua. Also for the tools we used wxWidgets, WTL and a bit of SDL.
Several years ago before that I worked on a turn-based game for one American. I did it from scratch, using C++ and plain Direct3D 9, but it was a simple game with simple graphics. Also I have another small game which worked on MS-DOS. The game was also very simple, but it had character animation, palette-simulated shadows, my own simple font format and rendering, simple AI characters, etc.
Basically I'm a C++ developer working on Windows platform, sometimes work on C# projects (for desktop). I should mention that I'm not familiar with the Unreal Engine and UDK yet, but I'm ready to learn them.
A couple of questions about the project. Could you tell me a bit more about what should be done in the first part of the project? What tools do you use for development?
