A simple Jabber client

The project at most $50. I need a very simple Jabber client based xmpp, just need login a public server and send,receive [login to view URL] can search related codes in [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] may search about 10 pages codes. The client need login a server and then send, receive message in a chatting room or with another account. It need run under linux, had better with c++, can also use another library like gloox, strophe.I only need a client, but need pass test through connected a public xmpp server. Need it run as console under ubuntu, to the codes, the easier, the better.
