I am looking for an engineer with "Resistive Touch" background to help me understand the inner workings of a Resistive Touch Panel. My goal is to build my own resistive touch panel from scratch.
I hold an EE degree, and I am a junior engineer with some FPGA, C, and circuit design experience, therefore I am not looking for a layman definition or just to scratch the surface of Touch Controllers and Resistive Touch Panels, I want to build my own resistive rouch panel.
I have function generators, power supplies, oscilloscope, microcontrollers, FPGA, bread-boards, passive and active parts in my house. I understand the theory, but I cannot connect the dots to fully understand how to create a resistive touch panel from scratch and report the X,Y touch locations back to the microcontroller. Ideally, someone who can help me connect the dots is who I am looking for.
