We are developing private network for car dealers. The website will be mostly classifieds and private auctions. We need a software developed in c++ (prefferably with wxWidgets) that would work together with the site. The car dealer would add his cars offline. He will fill in a form - text fields, textarea, drop down, checkboxes (the form fields will be provided. Some of them are database driven), and have a images browser to select the pics for his car (each pic will have a checkbox under it, so multiple selection is added) All this will be saved into a SQLlite database. When he will want to upload the data to the server, he just have to press a button. The software would send a http request - xml - to the server for authentiffication. If auth success, it uploads the data - including pictures - to the server. We will build the server side API according to your requests. The software should also download the car make / models, list of options, etc from online database. The software should also allow creating auctions, with option to request export to autotrader, [login to view URL] and ebay. These will be only checkboxes, because the data feed will be exported by server components. This is the basic list of requests. Will provide more details to the selected programmer / team

We have some questions: - will the server side will be implemented by you? - who will design the database? or is it already designed? will there be two databases (one for type of cars, ... and one for the data input by the dealer? - we are highly proficient in C++ but we think that for such an app it fits better the Java platform that is more friendly versus connectivity and database plus has the advantage to be usable on any OS. We have few queries. a) The server side API you would write after we give you the specifications? b) That means the project scope is yet to be defined in total.? We would like to know how can quote be given if your scope is not clear and you are looking for C++ project. This has Http and XML with database. There has to be proper study before such system can be implemented. Your API logic and the coding that any company does need to be in line and there can be no defined time frame for this. The simple reason is a) You will do the API programming after the developer finalizes the requirements. b) The working of your logic and developers logic has to be co-ordinated. c) The complete software has to be tested. This job is not less than 4 months under any cicrcumstances. If you are looking for long term then documentation and production data has to be readied before it can be started. Our previous conducted study on such project gives the estimate to around $ 9,500(USD). We would like to have your thoughts on this. Thanks, Bharat
