Asterisk telephone number checker

I need a simple script/program that dials a list of telephone numbers(csv or db) with Asterisk to check if the numbers are existing telephone number. This way I can filter out the bogus telephone numbers. The result of the script should be the same list of telephone numbers updated with the status of the telephone number based on the call response. The dialer should hang up immediately after it knows that the telephone number exists. It should not connect to the person answering. So it should hang up immediatly after the event from wich you know that the number is an existing telephone number eg. outgoing ringing or so.
