Black Panthers
Chapter 1: Black Panther (Introduction)
There are 13 types of big cats. Black panthers are also a kind of big cat. They have black fur. But that black fur never means that they are from a different family.
Panthers is a subspecies of Puma family. The mountain lions and cougars are also members of Puma family.
Chapter 2: What they look like (anatomy)
They have slimmer muscles but are very powerful. They have very soft padded paws that help panthers to walk quietly when it stalks preys. They have a black fur with spots, but these spots are mostly not visible. They have yellow eyes. They have a size of 6.25 feet.
The long tail of black panther helps to maintain the balance. The ears are cup-shaped and pointed that are very sensitive to every sound. The legs of black panthers are normally small and very powerful that help them to pounce upon their prey. They have amazing speed but they can maintain that speed only for short time.
Chapter 3: What they eat (feeding)
Black panthers are carnivores. They hunt their prey. They prey on deer, rabbits, and even birds. Their prey also includes tapir and wild boars. Panthers adapt the diet per the changing environment. In short, they are the opportunistic predators.
They mostly prey single, not in groups. They mostly hunt in nights and attack their prey from trees and can pounce on their prey from 20 feet
