We are building a marketing website for an e-forms system. Using our software, business forms that are presently paper-based are converted to iPad-based forms and thereby become mobile. The e-forms connect to an underlying database of business rules so that workflow and associated tasks can be allocated and updated in real time as the forms are filled-in on the iPads. We want an animation on the home page of the website that tells this “story”. A consultant has worked with us to create a cartoon-style storyboard and the result is an Adobe Illustrator file of 10 main frames. We want to turn that into an animated GIF that runs for about 15 seconds. The story it tells is articulated below. Each frame of the Abode Illustrator file contains picture elements that need to be de-layered and animated. For example, frame-1 is our brand. Frame-2 shows a hand with index finger extended touching a point on our brand. In the final animation we want that hand to smoothly move into frame, stop at the right spot, and for a little visual metaphor for “I’ve touched” to appear around the tip of the index finger. After a pause, the video/animation would move to frame 2. And so on (see the “story”, below). Frame 3 Message saying” observations can be captured” appears on screen. Frame 4 An “event” happens – a cartoon character walks in-frame and slips over on a puddle on the floor. An iPad with a form slides into frame and a finger touches a few fields. Frame 5 Message saying “instantly reported”. Frame 6 An “action list” is on-screen and an animated arrow comes in, pointing to one or more fields to indicate that some “actions” are required. Frame 7 Message saying “and actioned” appears on-screen. Frame 8 A cartoon version of a “warning, wet floor” sign is in-frame and a thumbs-up hand appears in-frame near it to indicate “job now handled”. Frame 9 Message saying “making management....” Frame 10 Brand “Cinchi” appears.
