For initial testing of a battery/power supply prototype we need a cct that allows us to take the signal from a function generator and feed those amplified signals into a variety of loads, resistive, capacitive and inductive. If we can have adjustment/limit on the output voltage (maximum 30 volts) and current (maximum 10 amps) it should allow us to feed into most any load? There is no need for a PCB layout, initially only a breadboard prototype is required.

Design a single-transistor amplifier that delivers at least ten times as much power to the load as it draws from the source. In other words, the power gain must be at least 10 (10dB). The signal source has a resistance of 1kΩ and the load has a resistance of 10kΩ. Your power supply is 5V. You are allowed to use a BJT or a MOSFET, as well as any amplifier configuration of your choosing. A SPICE template file has already been created for you and is available for download from Blackboard. It contains all the information you need besides the actual circuit. Follow the instructions given and add the rest of your circuit to make it complete. Use the instructions and analysis commands given to evaluate your amplifier. This circuit should connect two USB devices (downstream) to a PC (upstream). This requires a 2-port USB HUB in the circuit. 2 devices: 1 RS232 (TTL) and 1 USB (2.0). The RS232 should be recognised by the PC as a USB HID keyboard. The RS232 device works on TTL levels, no CMOS voltage conveersion needed.

Design and simulate using pspice or multisim a circuit that contains a comparator and a counter (using digital logic or CMOS logic). The idea is to use 2 manually triggered counters as inputs to a 4 bit comparator and the output should display both numbers and at the same time detect the larger number. For example to compare scores of a soccer match and every goal (switch triggered) the counter adds 1 to the score and the comparator would keep track of the winning team. An explanation of how the circuit works is also needed. Part 2 of the project - write a report Project Title and Team Members • Problem definition – What is your design about? • Block Diagrams / Schematics • Describe your design in detail. • Exp...

Given a simple DC motor with amplifier diagram, the task is to evaluate the performance of this closed-loop control system using only proportional controller, not a PID controller. The following are the tasks that need to be done: 1) Produce a SIMULINK model for the DC motor and amplifier. 2) Select 3 different gains to obtain <10% overshoot, <25% overshoot, and with small steady state error. (For example: try Ka = 50 volts/volts and see happens.) 3) Simulate the system using the chosen gains. Use appropriate overlay 4) Chose a desirable gain (therefore you must define what is the acceptable performance), and perform parameter sensitivity analysis. Bid only if you really know how to do this as this will need to be completed in the next two days.
