I have presented at conferences on various topics in the field of linguistics, my interests including Austronesian languages, acoustic phonetics, formal syntax, language documentation, lexicography, and historical English linguistics. I was a tutor at Auckland University for the topic English Language to 1900, teaching four tutorial streams a week. My copy editing experience spans about six years, and has included editing/proofreading many academic papers, mostly for students of the University of Auckland. I am very conversant with APA (6th edition). For two years, I was the editor of Communication Matters, the magazine of the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association. I have a number of clients for whom I do website development. I have several years' experience with WordPress, PHP, Python, and JavaScript. I have attended a course in improvised theater which included presentation skills. I was a voice actor and audio technician for the short film Guise (2013), editor for the documentary film Dominion (2009–2010), and editor, script advisor, and assistant cameraman for a short television series Five Years (2009).
