Think: fee spirit…one who is on a grand adventure..someone a bit wild, perhaps a great story teller. A bit spiritual. Quality too.
We were going to award the project last night, but sadly found out that the image that we were going to choose had been copied! Do now, the contest has been extended 10 days so that we can re-group and find the true winner.
Yes, we want the image to be professional, but it has to express a free spirit..and happiness. The logo should show that the person wearing these glasses loves life and is an explorer, interesting, articulate...perhaps even an intellectual who has a wild side! The company is starting to sell eyeglasses, but wants to expand into other products. We want to promote a lifestyle. Our clients might work in the office, BUT this are true free spirits and want to life an adventure. The SYMBOL is to express FREEDOM! The product, by the way, is ultra quality...the very highest possible! We want to appeal to those who are highly affluent.
You can disregard the old JPG's that I posted and try to re-think this.
PLEASE SEE NEW PHOTOS (the I and the T)! The I is the aboriginal symbol for journey, and the man or woman lifting their arms would make a great image for the T (I sort of like the kid)...would prefer if the image silhouette did not show clothing..more free.
We truly think that the winner will be the creator of a logo which will become iconic and a true career accomplishment. Walkabouts is an extremely company and is likely to become an established international brand.
Eyeglasses of Australia. Walkabouts produces both sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses.
Our primary target markets are the U.S., Europe and Australia.
Our eyeglasses are all natural (horns)..and not necessary to the job, but perhaps consider something with Australia flair. It is important to know that we don’t kill animals to make eyeglasses, but are using that which has been wasted and discarded in the past.
They are also to be chic/highly..and want to be trendy and earth/green friendly.
Who wears Walkabouts? WALKABOUTS is a brand is for happy free-spirited people…that love nature and are brilliant deep thinkers, philosophers and great conversationalists. They are creative right-brained thinkers. They are writers, poets, artists and energetic people who love life and love the Earth. They love the freedom of the outdoors…and think of life as a long walk which is a sacred journey and wild adventure.
Walkabouts feel absolutely great on your face…versus other frames which are mostly made out of plastic or metal.
The four tasks involved in the image/logo:
1) “WALKABOUTS” This will be on the temples, the side of the glasses. This is the logo, and the look of the company. This is where you need to spend your major effort.
This will be on the temple of the glasses and has to be visible when very small (5mm high). With most eyeglasses companies the logo is just the writing (without any picture or graphic of an animal or anything). (see photo/attachment #1)
2) On the inside temple on one side there will be “[login to view URL]” So you need to design how this will look. (see photo/attachment #2)
3) On the other inside temple will be our tagline: “see the world naturally”. So you need to design how this will look. (see photo/attachment #3)
4) Eyeglasses case. The inside will read “WALKABOUTS and below this “see the world naturally”. (see photo/attachment #4)
The logo has to look very good and distinguishable when very small (on the sides of glasses)
So, this contest is for ALL FOUR TASKS! The winner will present all four images to be considered as the winner.
Please work hard and be a Winner!
P.S. An idea: I am wondering if someone could perhaps have the "K" in Walkabouts look like two feet walking?
“Very responsive and creative. I do indeed highly recommend Astri.”
