Contest Brief

Hello, I'm looking for a story editor. I have a written blog post (about a 4 minute read only 1,300 words). I need someone that is good at rewriting and restructuring stories and telling it an a way that connects with the audience. I want it to flow and be creatively and intelligently written using the structure of the epiphany bridge script. The blog post is about a time that I got pick pocketed in Rome.

      Laura and I took turn in taking pictures of each other. I, however, was not really satisfied with the result. I thought it was not everyday having a chance to stand in front of the idyllic building. With full of enthusiasm, I pleaded “Can you please take just a couple more? It is not every day we can get here!” Without any hesitation, Laura said yes. As Laura had agreed to my request, I started to get fired up. I put my purse down next to hers on the ground. It was right next to where she was standing. Jump! Smile! Cheese! I tried many best poses as I could. Laura moves closes and closer to me, trying to catch the best angle. I was so happy thinking about the results, knowing Laura had put great efforts in it. Laura too, she was eager to catch my photo We were absorbed and excited about taking the best picture, until we forgot about something, OUR PURSE!!!

      In the midst of excitement, Laura started to realize that there was something wrong.
      She suddenly felt a swift of air. She looked back, abruptly became panic and yelled “Our Purse!”. The purses were supposed to be a couple a feet away from where she stood. However, they were nowhere to be found. OUR PURSES HAD ALREADY GONE!

      Panic! Confused! Suddenly a dread filled my body as I was trying to process what just happened. It was a feeling of great enthusiasm that turned into unexpected great terror. A million thoughts flooded my head. How did this happen? How came neither of us see it? The only thing we had was Laura’s phone that she used to take my picture. I feel the Stupidest person at that time! I was so angry with myself.

When you get 4 star or below ratings, it usually means the lack of an important element like grammar, punctuation, flow, presentation, imagery, font and myriad others. Is that it?
