Brian Leonce Florence Jr. was born on June 3, 1979 to Michelle Florence and Brian Florence Sr. in Inkster, Michigan. He was affectionately called BJ. As a teenager, he loved comic books and music. He played the saxophone and other instruments. He graduated from Inkster High School and went on to develop a diverse skill set. He was smart, kind, helpful, outgoing, courageous, funny and talented. He was particularly skilled at cleaning and organizing homes. He went on to create his own cleaning business and had faithful clients who appreciated and valued his services.

BJ was the oldest of his siblings: Niki, Shelby and Maleik; and he loved them dearly. He was a member of a large family where he loved everyone and made everyone feel valued and cared for. All of the children in the family loved playing with him and he loved making them laugh. He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.

BJ had a very close relationship with his father and would often brag that he had the best father in the world. He took that same love into his own relationship with his son, Marian Florence who he was so proud of. He loved being a dad and considered his son to be his pride and joy.

BJ departed this life on the morning of Thursday, February 25, 2021. He is preceded in death by his sister Tamara Nicole (Niki) Florence. His maternal grandfather: Ezekiel Williams. His paternal grandparents: Dorothy and Jacob Florence. His aunts: Saundra Head, Patricia Allen, Sylvia Florence-Albert, Deborah Florence and Stephanie White. His uncles: Walter Head, Tommy Head, and Daniel Head.

He leaves to cherish in his memory: his grandmother Ollie Lee Boyer. His mom: Michelle Robinson. His father: Brian (Carol) Florence. His son: Marian Florence. His aunts: Jennifer Williams, Christopher Williams,
Carol Florence-Markray and Cynthia Florence. His uncles: David Williams, Richard Williams, Christopher Williams, Roger Williams and Donald Head. His siblings: Shelby Robinson and Maleik Robinson. Additional siblings: Saddi Gartrell, Roosevelt Sweeney, Tara Sweeney and Kia Sweeney; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
