Contest Brief

I need a movie poster designed. Here are the guidelines.

1. 3840 x 2160 pixels

2. RGB color

3. Delivery of final master file is to be both a PNG file AND a Photoshop file WITH layers (as we may need to change some of the design/text in the future).

4. A poster mockup file & poster style guide is provided below. This poster mockup shows the text, images, and rough idea of the layout of the movie poster. Of course, you can change the design layout if you have a better idea.

5. A download link is provided that has all the master file elements. Here is the download link to these files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11MuHuYv8CwuolXtNtih3Zg_J5c3hl-GR?usp=sharing

6. If you decide to use another background photo or design element, you must use an image that we can license from a stock image source, otherwise, we cannot use it. So please provide us a link to any outside photo/image that you use in your design so that we can estimate the licensing costs for that image. Thanks.

    There were so many excellent poster designs in this contest. Of the 5-star rated entries, we may purchase 1 or 2 more designs in the next couple of months (so hang onto those master Photoshop files!). It's been really tough to select the winner, as our small committee of decision-makers was split on three of the choices. Many, many thanks!

    I asked u not to close the contest before deadline. Now I've submitted my edition.
    Check #298 , I think I did a pretty good job. You should pay attention to the details, shadows and highlights and the color grading.

    I am going to provide some basic comments on the poster designs so far submitted.

    1. Actors Placement: A good example of the actor's placement/size within the frame can be seen in Entries #131 , #109 , and #163 .

    2. Poster Backgrounds: Good examples of backgrounds can be seen in #163 , #106 , and #166.

    3. Other comments: In many of the entries, there are too many airplanes in the sky. Only 1 or 2 planes should be seen (Japanese zero fighter aircraft only) as this movie is not about aerial combat… so just 1 or 2 aircraft is best. In other comments, I would encourage the use of sparks, explosions, smoke, and dramatic clouds to make the image most dramatic (many of the best submissions are using these types of graphic elements already).
