Contest Brief

Hello

We have a brand looking for a new custom designed logo. We need it looking modern with a flat logo style design that suits the brand & market.

The brand is called Grand Rapids Guide Service and it specialises in providing professionally guided fishing trips on the pristine lakes of northern Minnesota, USA.

The market is all ages who have an interest in fishing for relaxation and sport fishing.

The main text is: Grand Rapids Guide Service


We are primarily interested in a logo that looks similar to those of:
1.) Mercury Marine Logo > Google Image Search (We really like the Mercury Marine Logo!)
2.) Evinrude Outboards Logo > Google Image Search
3.) Humminbird fish finder logo > Google Image Search

4.) Other primarily text and abstract image logos (perhaps use a water wave on a lake?)


Another option is to use a fish in this logo. If a fish is used, please ensure it is a walleye - the state fish of minnesota.

COLORS:

IMPORTANT: The new logo must be able to show up vividly on this blue waterdrop background:

One of the colors we would like used is Vivid Orange: rgb(249, 115, 7) or #f97307
The other color could be a reversed out white on this background, but also needs an alternate color that will show up when the logo is sometimes used on a white background.

The logo should be a primarily horizontal format

Samples can be provided in jpg/png/gif but the final handover will need to be in vector.
