InnerJam Mobile App Needs a Launch Screen and a Music Player Screen Designed!
- Status: Closed
- Prize: $250
- Entries Received: 56
- Winner: Nayemhasan09
This contest is for mockups of a mobile music player app's Launch Screen and Main Screen. The app is named "InnerJam". I've attached a logo and our current website is [login to view URL] for reference. Ideally, we'd use the colors in the logo as well as a medium gray.
We GUARANTEE there will be a winner and we will award the prize. Future app design work will be assigned to the best designer who can continue to work with us. We'll have A LOT of design work needs for this app startup.
The purpose of the mockup is to simulate what the app might look like and get people excited before launch. Responsive or interactive designs would be great but are not necessary to enter and win.
The app plays ** TWO ** audio tracks at the same time. One is a primary music track. The other is an affirmation track.
InnerJam is a personal development app in which people listen to their own music and our positive affirmations at the same time.
People use InnerJam to help them achieve goals, overcome challenges and make positive changes in their lives. It's essential that the app feels uplifting and energetic.
InnerJam will appeal to a younger audience, 21 to 35 years old, and slightly favor female over male users.
I've attached an example of a launch screen which is almost exactly what I want with only a few changes that are needed.
The "rays" should start around the outside border of the logo. The logo should not be treated as transparent.
The first line should include a period "." at the end of the line.
"YOUR" in the second line should bold and capitalized. The line should end with an exclamation point "!" Bonus points for making the exclamation a little larger and rotated slightly.
I am not set completely on the font, so feel free to make suggestions.
If you have a better idea for a launch screen, feel free to get creative!
MAIN SCREEN - MUSIC PLAYER:
I've included an image of the most basic layout of the main player screen imaginable just to be clear about the necessary controls for each of the two players. I am not a graphic designer. I don't have design software. Do not necessarily take what I’ve provided as a firm user interface layout decision. I am entirely open to suggestions though.
App Control Icons:
Music Player Features and Controls
Album Cover Art (Use a royalty-free image to simulate.)
Song Title (Use "On the Road")
Band (Use "Sawyer)
Song Progress / Slider
Previous Track / Play / Next Track
Affirmation Player Controls
Affirmation Title (Use "Crush Procrastination!")
Affirmation Volume Slider
Split Stereo (This plays music in one ear and the affirmation in the other ear.)
Previous Track / Play / Next Track
Affirmation Volume Reset
VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
** Get your basic idea in quickly - even if it is not perfect. If we are interested in your design concept, we will communicate with you in order to develop your design idea before the contest is over.
** DO NOT COPY other designers' work or ideas! We will ignore all copies and unoriginal submissions - even if we like them.
** We WANT to communicate with you and help you help us. We are are in the UTC -5 time zone, so be patient if waiting for a reply and you are on the other side of the world.
** InnerJam is one word. Exactly as I've spelled it. The 'I' and 'J' are capitalized
** Copyrights to the chosen designs convey with deliverables as work for hire.
** Deliverables must include a variety of file formats including the unflattened source file and at least one full-color vector file format. Because this is a mobile app, I really would like to see mockups of the screens in a recent iPhone model and either a recent Samsung or Pixel model phone.
A bonus can be given to the winning designer for a tablet version of the app as well.
What other questions can I answer?
“Working with Nayem was a fantastic experience! He won a really tough design competition for our very unique subliminal affirmation and music playing app called InnerJam. He understood exactly what we were trying to accomplish and produced a design we all loved. We look forward to continue to work with him while growing our app. ”
