Contest Brief

We are a web development agency that is looking for talented graphic designers that will help us create a stunning website prototype per our client needs.

On this occasion, our client is looking to do a slight redesign, although if not possible, they will be happy to look at other options, even a complete redesign. Website Design Specifications:

Customer feedback on current site:
1. Design is clean, the colour scheme suits the brand.
2. There are too many replications: About Us, Search Bar, Sign up/Store Account/Orders.
3. The product developments are great reads but not necessary for quick purchase, and can derail customers.
4. Comb selected is not the same comb that ends up in the basket.

Redesigned Website Aim:
The aim of the website is to sell and promote our hair care products, as well as to enrol care experienced people on to our Hair Looked After Club program.

Redesigned Website Objectives:
● Clear listing of products on site
● Relevant information on company’s ethics, experts and activities
● Sophisticated but child friendly (formal text, vibrant colour palette, )
● Clear customer accounting system: Orders, Account Information, Review Purchases, etc.
● Less is more!

    Slogan font is important, after looking at the ones submitted, I can confirm that the handwritten fonts are preferable, some cursive have been okay but anything else is not.

      Hi you can design the pages in photoshop, but they must be submitted using Adobe XD file, Adobe XD is free, and I believe you can copy and paste data from photoshop to it. The reason I would try avoiding photoshop is that we don't have it installed on our machines.

      Adobe XD gives us all of the dimensions we need to make the site layout perfect whereas photoshop doesn't.

    Just to clarify as some designers have the same question, you can use stock images but be sure to include relevant ones, the products are for highly textured (curly) hair, you can take those stock images as an example: https://www.pexels.com/search/afro%20curly%20hair/

    Overall feedback:

    Slogan is 'Free you to be you'
    Please do not change it.

    Use at least 3 colours from the colour palette in the brief.

    Make sure the slogan font compliments the brand name font.

      Hi there, it's ok there is no rush, I'd rather have you take your time to create a high-quality prototype than a rushed one.

      I will continue to hold the contest until the deadline, and once close to the end client will review the best pieces before the end of the final day. As for now I will be sending new and updated prototypes once receive them.
