Rock City is the name of a series of events to promote our church praise and worship team. It is called Rock City because the church is called Rock Church Johannesburg, and we have a city focus. Rock here is in reference to Christ the Rock and not necessarily rock music. In fact the style and sound of music is contemporary neo-soul, urban, local gospel music- our aim is to create not only a sound for the city, but a place where people can hook up and socialise.. The team will eventually be called Rock City when they record their first cd. The events are a series of concerts that will be held at of some of the iconic and interesting places in and around the city. We will have a Rock City Theatre, Rock City Rooftop, Rock City Cafe, Rock City Park, Rock City Square, Rock City Moyo's. So the design needs to be flexible enough to each unique event but without loosing its identity
We are contemporary church so please stay away from the cliched cross, dove, leaves [login to view URL] are looking for a contemporary, fresh brand that could translate well onto digital posters, flyers, banners and billboards, printing t-shirts, etc.
We already have a church brand profile . I have attached logo designs for various departments within the church i.e. Rock Church JHB, Rock Studios and Media and Rock Academy. you are not limited to the 'family brand', we want avoid a monotonous look, but of course it does make a difference if you could design something fresh and unique but has traces of design group-the three strands, as you can see, is the common denominator..
So we need a corporate identity for for all of the above. this includes a logo design, t-shirt design, and promotional designs (digital and print) for all 6 events ( e.g. Rock City Theatre, Rock City Cafe) Rock City Theatre will be the first event. Looking forward to getting some great designs from you.
Slogan: For the love of Jozi! (Jozi is slang for Johannesburg)
