Contest Brief

We have a design requirement for our new mountain bike related products. We are looking to sell printed frame protection kits that offer both protection and added style to our customers MTB's. We are going to be printing onto a clear paint protection material and then laminating them. We are looking at launching our product with at least 10 designs.

The best website to look at for inspiration and to get an idea of what we would also like is Dyedbro - www.dyedbro.com

The designs need to be split as follows:

Black only/white only – We have a printer that uses white ink, so for white designs, you will need to use the Roland Versaworks swatches and apply a white spot colour so the printer recognises where to print white ink. Design Example: https://www.dyedbro.com/collections/frame-protection/products/old-school-tattoo?variant=32825672597582

Part colour – These are kits that have small images/patterns in colour but there is also a lot of blank space for the original paint work to show through. These will need to have a white spot colour layer first and then the colour on top. If you print colour directly onto the material it washes out, so needs that white base first. Design Example: https://www.dyedbro.com/collections/frame-protection/products/tropical

Full colour – These are full printed designs. They will also need a white base layer first before the colour layer. Design Example: https://www.dyedbro.com/collections/frame-protection/products/bananas

Another company doing similar products are:

Send It Krew:

Slicy
https://www.slicy-products.com/en/

Please note that the above websites are provided purely for inspiration purposes and we will not accept any copied designs. We have also attached a couple of designs that we have produced ourselves.

Please only apply for this project if you have a good understanding of using white spot colours to produce white ink. If you need to download the Roland swatches, you can find them here: https://kea-makerlab.github.io/hello/assets.html

Accepted file formats are: AI, PDF or EPS

I have a photoshop format file. With a large resolution and separate elements, can I join this contest?

Sure, I think this should be fine for us as long as the resolution is high enough. Thanks

Ideally 10, but submit whatever you feel is fair for the amount of work you need to do compared to the fee. Thanks
