Contest Brief

The purpose of the contest is to undertake a re-brand of a business that is now 10 years old and has changed significantly in that time frame. Evans Petersen Legal deals in the complex world of Human Resources and Recruitment in a niche market for the Legal profession. The history of the business is extremely important, the business principal has been in the profession for 20 years; however today they reflect the new wave of thinking in recruitment and career guidance. The re-brand program for Evans Petersen is about creating a fresh new outlook reflecting who the business is today; an open, friendly, creative and experienced business focussed on achieving the best outcomes for its candidates and clients, always being generous with its time and knowledge and known for “keeping it real”.
Focus is to be on developing a design specific to the business name Evans Petersen Legal including:
- removing the current EP logo and replacing it with a new identity (refer to the front page of the attached Brand Brief)
- Keeping the “Legal” in the branding but not overly prominent.
- Fresh, modern, edgy and professional but personable
The existing Evans Petersen brand is monochrome and no longer reflective of the character of the business. Colours that appeal to the business are:
• Primary colours: Black / Greys / white – muted tones
• Accent colours: Blue / Green – aqua tones
• Or vice versa to the above
The new identity will be used in various digital applications as well as for printed material. Therefore eps, png and jpeg formats of the final design will be required; ideally a black and white version would be beneficial as well.
The successful designer will have reviewed the Brand Brief provided and translated that into the winning design.
