Contest Brief

I'm looking for a new wallpaper for my desktop - a multi-monitor setup - that reflects my passion for great design. The winning entry will be at least 5120x3840 and will be original, creative and visually interesting.

The winning design will feature small elements in an intricate pattern that is regular but has irregularities and variations. I like deep, rich colors as opposed to pastels and particularly like deep blues, greens as well as blends of those two colors. If you have other colors you think are compelling, I will look at them, but remember I often work in a low-light environment looking at very big monitors so anything too light will be too glaring for my comfort.

I have uploaded two versions of the wallpaper I'm currently using as illustrations of what I like.

I'm also available for questions and feedback. I'm often online and try to give specific, useful feedback.

Contest entries are sealed. If I do not select your entry as the winner, I may offer to purchase it for a lesser amount.

A few notes:

1) I’m using three monitors in a row each at 3840x2160 and a laptop at 2560x1600 below. I am looking for designs that use small elements - 1 to 3 cm - when displayed in that configuration.

2) It's hard to see a design’s detail when you just upload the whole image; Freelancer shows me a thumbnail and the details are not visible. In addition to posting an image of the entire design, can you also post a close up of the design? I think Freelancer lets you post multiple images to an entry.

3) I like deep greens and blues, but don't feel limited to just those two colors. As long as the colors are deep and jewel-like I'll look at anything.

4) Some entries fade to the black toward the edge; I don't mind that effect, but the design should be visible across nearly all of the image.
