Contest Brief

Social venture start-up in the fashion industry seeking a catchy, sleek logo that will feature prominently on tags to be placed on individual garments imploring customers to sign up, download an app, and begin paying gratuities to the factory workers who assembled that item. Represents a direct income transfer from developed to emerging economies.

Provisional logo concept focuses on idea of Michaelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling fresco of God reaching out a finger to touch Man's finger and give the gift of life--representing the transfer of goodwill (money - the gift) from one entity to another - see attached jpg/png files below. I would be interested in a stylized version of that tableau but also happy to consider any other logo concepts.

This is about people (fashion consumers in wealthy countries) doing good for other people (apparel plant workers in developing coutries) by contributing gratuities/gifts. Something that represents this idea in an eye-catching way is excellent. Logo must be bold, hard-to-miss. Altruism. Generosity. Gratuity. Giving selflessly. Doing good for others through kind deeds, opening the wallet....

"tip4good" (the name of the start-up) and the catchphrase "thank the maker" must be included in the logo. It should also be designed for use as a mobile app icon (minus the text in that version). Shape in compact square or if rectangular long edges must be the sides, with top and bottom maintained short (as in typical rectangular cardboard marketing tag used to sell apparel).

General impact should be eye-catching - making it impossible to handle the item without noticing the tag bearing the logo. Represent the idea of doing good, having one person help another person directly.

Should be more than enough information but if there are additional concerns, feel free to contact at rogerlacayo@yahoo.com

Employer Feedback

“Shrikant is not only a fantastic designer with great responsiveness and a sophisticated touch, but is also a nice, personable witty guy and a pleasure to work with. Out back and forth was minimal, communication was clear, changes were quick, and everything flowed smoothly and efficiently. I am very happy with the work, it speaks loudly in a subtle fashion and carries the message with simplicity and strength. I look forward to the day when everyone involved in my organization is proud of what we accomplish and that this brand is the symbol of something truly amazing that came along for the good of humanity. This work is on par with that mission! ”
