Create Animated Map For A Film Project

Contest Brief

For a Film Project I need several animated maps. I have two examples of my current solution (see attachment), but I need something better which looks a lot better.
In the end of this video are several examples which looks good: [login to view URL]
But maybe you have a another good idea? I need the animation in a little documentary film about a small river. For more details of the project see more detailed informations below.

More Details for the Project:

Target of the video:
On a map the river shall be shown, which will be renatured. The aim is for the viewer to see where this river is located and which part is shown in the film.

Map:
I have done a Overview of the area (See attached map in ‚Overview‘)
I have added below 3 links to a source for the map. You can choose what is better for your style.

Text:
Title Label: „Übersicht Renaturierung Tobelbach“ (English means: Overview renaturation Toblebach)
Text Label: I have done a Overview of the area with label names (See attached map in ‚Overview‘)
Name of the river parts: „Tobelbach“, „Dürrbach“, „Bibersee“ (See attached map in ‚Overview‘)
City Names: „Cham“, „Rumentikon“, „Autobahn A4“ (See attached map in ‚Overview‘)
Note: 1. Etappe, 2. Etappe 2: Means 1st step, 2nd step of the project

Length of Video:
Around 10 seconds

Delivery of data:
I need the source data so that I can make small adjustments. Additionally I need the data in Mov,Avi,Mp4 format.

    he example cited in the description uses external plugin. even if someone has that plugin or buys it, creates the animation and shares the after effects file with you it will be of no use until you also buy that external plugin.

    Since the idea is to position the viewer on the map, and Rometikon is called Hagendorn on google, am curious witch one would help more people to positioning? Could I make the animation slightly longer? 12secs maybe?

      Hi, yes sure, you can do the animation longer. zoom: Some proposals zoom from the world overview to the point. It is enough, when you zoom from Switzerland overview to the point.

    Hey, just to clarify on what you need to get started: A high res picture of the map you want to show and details of what text, animations, points of interest and length of video. All those things should be enough for people to start the project. Good luck
