hi,

We need an original idea for our yearly company Christmas card.
Our company makes instruments that measure color in industrial applications. so for instance our instruments measure the color of textile that is being dyed or paper that is made, or plastic bottles that are made, etc this to be sure the color is correct.

the concept of color should be in the card, so think of lenses, light, color spectrum, rainbows, light breaking in different colors, people comparing products, human eye, charts, L*,a*,b*, and XYZ color systems or models, etc…

And obviously it should ‘breath’ a traditional Christmas feeling, think: Snow, Christmas tree, Santa clause, reindeer, fireplace, etc, etc…
Please do not use religion (churches or crosses, etc).

Text on the front should be: “Colour Consult wishes you a Merry Christmas and a colorful 2017”

The card will be printed in A5 size, full color, double sided.
For a pdf template see the pdf attached.
Text must stay within the black dotted line, images must go to pink dotted line. This for card cutting.
Obviously these lines should not be in the design.

We pick a winner based on the front, but we expect the winner to create the back of the card too.
And supply correct pdf files for the printer to be able to print it correctly.
The back is quite ‘post card’ default and we can provide you with samples of prevous years, we may want a small detail from the front at the back again.
All this to be discussed with the winner at a later stage.

hi, i uploaded a pdf to the project description, a pdf about color from Minolta a competitor.
This may give you an idea about various color models, human eye response chart, day light vs led or tungsten, etc…
And apart from this card even be interest to you as designer.
Please don’t use images from this pdf directly due to copyrights its just for inspiration.
Hope it helps to add the technical parts in the Christmas card.

I attached the card we used in 2015 & 2016 to the project.
Obviously we want something different this year but it gives you an idea.
The quality in the 2016 was good, that of 2015 less than we hoped for but ok.

Regarding 'guaranteed', we are new at freelancer and don't know what to expect regarding quality nor the number of entries. I'm happy to pay for a quality design but not so much if we get bad 5 entries.
