In case if the employer, who posted the project, finds your bid interesting, he will award you the project. You will then receive a notification on your Freelancer.com Dashboard.
You will also be informed via e-mail and via a chat window. You will find a button, allowing you to accept the project and to start working.
Before doing so, please discuss with the employer all details, in order to make sure that you can really do this job and to complete the task 100 %. The employer will in most cases be willing to create a Milestone payment.
You will receive another notification, that the Milestone has been created. This is the best moment to accept the project, that you have been awarded.
