On two occasions now, I received messages that I had won two bids and both employers wants us to communicate via their email addresses. Is this the proper procedure?

Hi,

There are multiple ways to receive a payment. You can use direct bank transfer or you can use PayPal. If you are in Australia you can use the Freelancer bank card.

I would recommend to ask for Milestone payments once you won the bid, this way you can be sure that the money is available and it is put in deposit at Freelancer.com till you finish the work.

For a project there can be more milestone payments, not only one. So if your project takes 1 month and you deliver something each week, you can agree with the employer to create 4 milestone payments, proportional with the deliveries and release these as you delivered the work.

Hi!
You will recieve the payment here at your account on Freelancer.com . After the money will be transfered to your account, you will pick the transfer method (transfer to your bank account, Paypal etc.). Or of course you can use the money here to buy membership or whatever.
If the milestone isn´t put up and your employer doesn´t seem like paying you, you will have a bad time. If the milestone is up and the employer still seems like he doesn´t want to release it, you can ask freelancer support for help. (My advice is to not to start working till the milestone is up)
It doesn´t matter if the job takes 7 days or 40 days (of course if you said to your employer that it will take 2 days to finish the job and you re working on it for more than 7 days, u can expect bad review).
I hope I answered you every possible meaning of your question. If you have any further questions, try to be more specific :-)

I accepted a job, but the client didn't create a milestone and no longer wants the work. I was charged $5 upfront as a freelancer's fee. Now, I want to delete this job and recover my money.

I would recommend use freelancer milestone payment before starting the project. Make sure to be in touch with the Client also, Ask for multiple milestones.

Whenever you are finished with the work. Just Ask them to release the money and then have a response on that work or a feedback.

On the same day (today), two employers sent me messages concerning the their projects from the bid proposals I wrote, does that mean I won the bid? Because I didn't see anywhere to click on 'accept' as I have read about it before. Also, they told me to let's communicate through their emails, after which they told me to make some security fee payment before I can proceed with their work. And the last time someone close to me made the payment first, it wasn't fruitful, after he completed the work, he still wasn't paid. Please what should I do? Thanks
