I need a website that can successfully bring the optical retail business experience to a web where customers can get a good price and excellent customer service with the trust that their prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses will be correct and they will be satisfied.The website needs to be innovative, trendy with a trustworthy sense since we are offering a health oriented products. This website have to be easy to use and understand
The website should be Visually appealing, Common theme and consistent design, Easy to navigate and
SEO best practices to be used in development of pages throughout the site (shortened URLs, meta tags,
headers, etc.).
The website must be compatible with popular browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari), must not require plug-ins as a default (exceptions for PDF files, social media), should be easily accessible to the novice as well as experienced Internet user, Fast loading pages – site must be designed with a balance of graphics and text such that each page loads in two seconds or less on the average computer, should be designed to account for tablet-sized browser viewing.
The website should be designed to avoid use of software / products with licensing fees.
Website information architecture, expand graphic look and feel and user navigation to include development of home page, main navigation templates for each of the main navigation links, the logical process to choose the desire eyeglasses, sunglasses and or contacts with or without prescription to place them in the shopping cart and check out without any problems.
I must be able to process orders taken over the phone (credit card or check) and manage orders received online (including correction of orders and email exchanges with customers and designers/vendors).
The website must be able to integrate with social media without need to leave the site – Facebook,
Twitter, customer product reviews. Create a company blog into the site
Allow user to send quick feedback, call or chat easily from any page
Details about Products
Customer want to know the following about their eyeglasses: price, colors, design, size, how they fit in their faces, being able to zoom/expand view of eyeglasses and the technical features the eyeglass can hold (single vision, bifocal, progressive, etc.)
Each eyeglass item must have the features and measurements for Bridge, Lens Width, Frame Width,
Temple Length, Lens Height, Frame Weight. Those features filter the prescription characteristics when the item get chosen.
Customer want to know the following about their contact lenses: price, that they are the same that the doctor prescribed, if they can get colors contacts, if they can get a better price if they buy more boxes, if there are any rebates available.
Each Contact lenses must have features and measurements for Power, Base Curve, Diameter in certain cases cylinder and axis. Features like lens type, package details, water % of content, manufacture etc....
User must be able to store his favorite items and compare them.
User must be able to create an account to order and re-order past prescriptions.
Prescription has to be verified with doctor that perform the exam so prescriptions have to either uploaded with a picture, scan or faxed or just doctor's information so we can call the doctor. The website would generate a reminder to let the customer know that they need do another eye exam.
Ultimately have the customers comeback for their new eyeglass and contact lenses needs.
Competitors’ sites in the industry include: eyebuydirect.com, zennioptical.com, glasses.com and justeyewear.com,1800contacts.
Interested bidder should have talent in web designer, strong ecommerce capabilities, development and implementation to do a website. The Developer must have experience integrating social media,
