How does Freelancer.co.uk work for Freelancers?
Freelancer.co.uk opens the global job market to freelancers in all trades and professions. Our unique platform eliminates the need for expensive advertising and lets you offer your talents and skills to the world without ever leaving your home or office.

For more details on finding and obtaining work, see our article entitled "Successful Freelancing with Freelancer.com".

I received a project offer from an Employer, but didn't bid on their project. How did this happen?
You can now get hired without bidding on a project! From October 2011, Employers are able to hire you directly using Hire Me or from the Find Freelancers directory. To confirm your offer: Log in to your Freelancer account and look for the offer in your Dashboard. You can Accept or Decline but act fast so you don't miss out!

What are the fees for Freelancers?

You can bid for projects for FREE! When you receive and accept an offer you will be charged the following fee, depending on your membership type:

  • Free and Basic members pay £3.5 GBP, or 10%, whichever is higher
  • Standard members pay £2.5 GBP, or 5%, whichever is higher
  • Premium members pay £2 GBP, or 3%, whichever is higher
Reduce your fees by becoming a Standard or Premium member! Upgrade now!

Hourly Projects are only charged the percentage rates shown above, not the dollar amount.
Full-time Projects are only charged the above fees once the project value exceeds £3000 GBP.

You can pay by Credit Card, Paypal, Skrill (formerly Moneybookers), WebMoney, Wire Transfer and many other regional banking methods.

You may check the complete list of fees here.

Note: Australian members pay 10% GST on all fees
